About this event
There is a fantastic array of wild fungi throughout Ireland. I am so excited to share what I have learned with you.
You must dress appropriately for a day spent outdoors, hiking boots are helpful. You must be physically fit for a day spent wandering the wilderness with hills and uneven ground. Please bring a packed lunch and snacks. And a foraging basket (if you have one).
The location is not yet decided but should be within 30 minutes of Cork City.

Based in the stunning County Wicklow, Ireland, Courtney thrives in the forest, observing the ever-changing seasons. A skilled and enthusiastic forager, she spends her days wandering hedgerows and woodlands in search of wild plants, roots, berries, and fungi to transform into herbal extracts, teas, salves, ferments, and nourishing food to share with her community.
Courtney’s passion lies in teaching others the wonders of the natural world. With infectious enthusiasm and a deep well of knowledge, she breaks down complex topics—whether about fungi, foraging, or herbal medicine—into engaging, hands-on learning experiences that empower participants to confidently explore nature themselves.
As a proud member of the Association of Foragers, Courtney offers a range of workshops and events focused on identifying edible, medicinal, and toxic fungi. Her approach is rooted in safety, sustainability, and respect for the land. Whether your interest lies in foraging, nature photography, ecology, mycology, food, or medicine, her inclusive workshops create a welcoming space for all.

• Explore the culinary and medicinal qualities of Ireland’s rich fungal and plant diversity.
